Masterclass with Steve Cox

A few Saturdays ago I participated in a watercolour painting masterclass with locally renowned watercolour artist, Steve Cox. It was so amazingly fun and inspiring! Steve gave me some great tips and I learnt a lot. There's another class happening in January, I can't wait to see how much I've improved in that time. This is a painting I did of my mum from a photograph.

INSPIRATION: Jim McVicker

My brother put me onto the amazing Jim McVicker recently, with this great watercolour painting. McVicker mostly does wonderful landscapes, and still life oil paintings but he can clearly master any medium. There's a good little doco about him on his website too.

Arsenal - 1886 Melbourne Cup winner.

I am in an upcoming Madman group exhibition held at Madman Void (Upstairs) 1 Wellington Street, Collingwood. The opening night is Friday 28th October from 4:30pm and will also be open over that weekend for those whom can't make the opening party.
It's Melbourne Cup themed this time, and my horse, Arsenal, was the winner in 1886! Arsenal was known as a lucky winner and was best friends with a billy goat. Here's my watercolour painting of Arsenal. I hope to see you at the exhibition!!
